Where is tumbling run

Anonymous January 6, pm. The owners put up those signs for a very obvious reason. The Historian January 6, pm. Hi Anonymous, I checked out the trail well before visiting, and based on the extensive hiking history, as well as an account posted here:.

I felt confident hiking it. Why would park rangers at Pine Grove Furnace mention the trail? Or the hostel? I think the Tumbling Run owners put up the signs as a CYA in case of an accident or to discourage anything other than leave-no-trace dayhikes. I turned back after a mile when I realized the trail was becoming rocks. Before then it consisted of pine and hardwood trees, with a lot of mud and swampy plants.

Turning back to the stream, I began to follow it, crossing back and forth as the brushy trail meandered along Tumbling Run.

After a short walk the trail becomes more obvious and you'll just follow that smaller stream the whole way up and back. Other than some vandalism at the top, this is a great hike. Expect to get a little wet. Fun, short trail with a nice view at the top and some great waterfalls and small pools on the way up.
