This is the ultimate proof that the meaning of Scripture read has been understood - by putting God's Word into action. This is why I recommend praying to God before you read the Bible - ask Him for understanding - ask Him to show you what He wants you to learn. The word that jumped out at me in the verse above is "consume" - I thought it would be interesting to define that word also: Consume - to enjoy avidly, to engage fully, to devour.
